Anuj Sachdeva has shed new light on the ongoing discussion about Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola’s divorce, revealing that Gaurav was unaware that Akanksha would speak about their marriage on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa. Anuj Sachdeva REACTS To Gaurav Khanna, Akanksha Chamola’s Divorce In an interview with entertainment journalist Vickey Lalwani, Anuj mentioned that the revelation caught him by surprise as well. He explained that he was unaware the couple had been living separately for several months. “I did not know that Gaurav and Akanksha were not staying together since the last 9 months,” he shared. He further stated that he spoke to Gaurav after the episode aired and claimed that the Anupamaa actor had not been informed about Akanksha’s decision to make their separation public. “Gaurav was completely unaware that Akanksha is going to go public about the current status of their marriage in Lock Upp,” Anuj said. Anuj Praises Gaurav’s Choice To Keep Personal Life Private Anuj also praised Gaurav’s choice to keep his personal life private. He said, “And yes, I must say that Gaurav is not washing his dirty linen in public.” When addressing Akanksha’s statement on the show that she now wants to “explore life,” Anuj rejected any suggestion that she had been held back during their marriage. “Not at all. Gaurav really loved her a lot and gave her all that she wanted,” he emphasised. Towards the end of the conversation, Anuj questioned the timing of Akanksha’s disclosure, wondering if it was motivated by the desire to garner more attention for the show. “So far, Akanksha had never gone public about this. I wonder if she’s doing it to increase the eyeballs on the show,” he remarked. About Akanksha-Gaurav Divorce Recently, Akanksha confirmed on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa that she and Gaurav are heading for divorce after nearly a year of living separately. She stated that the decision was mutual and that they gradually realised they wanted different things from life.
