Cara Delevingne confirms relationship with Amber Heard that drove Johnny Depp ‘crazy’

The model was rumoured to be dating Heard while she was separating from her husband – and finally we have confirmation. Delevingne admitted: ‘We were close for a long time and then when they were going through the divorce, yeah, we were entangled, I suppose, but she was also entangled with other people.’ She explained that it came about because they were doing the film London Fields together, along with Depp too. It was on The Louis Theroux Podcast that Cara Delevingne spoke about their relationship. The documentarian asked: ‘Are we going to mention the Johnny Depp thing?’ The pair have been good friends since 2014 (Picture: Getty Images) Delevingne replied: ‘Sure? What part of it?’ Theroux clarified: ‘He was driven crazy by the idea that Amber might be sleeping with you .’ After a pregnant pause, Delevingne asked: ‘Am I meant to comment?’ She went on: ‘I think he was pretty driven crazy by jealousy. I suppose nothing was happening at that point. ‘Later, after they divorced, it had I suppose.’ While discussing their ‘entanglement’, Theroux posed the statement that Heard was also ‘entangled’ with Elon Musk . The Aquaman actress filed for divorce in May 2016. It was finalised in January 2017. What followed was a lengthy defamation case in which Depp accused Heard of defaming him in an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post. Depp also sued The Sun for alleged libel for a headline calling him a ‘wife beater’. He lost the case in November 2020. As part of Heard’s countersuit, they also found a lawyer for Depp defamed Heard and she was awarded $2million in damages. The pair pressed on with appeals before announcing a settlement on social media in December 2022. As part of Depp’s defamation case against Heard, claims emerged that Heard, Delevingne and Musk had a ‘three-way affair’. At the time, Musk denied the ménage à trois to Page Six and said ‘Cara and I are friends, but we’ve never been intimate.’ Delevingne and Heard were said to be an item and sharing a hotel room together in September 2016, after becoming good friends in 2014.
