EXCLUSIVE: Anjana Sukhani Calls For OTT Censorship; States Excessive Violence Impacts Youth, “How Much Can You Consume?”

Anjana Sukhani has weighed in on the growing debate around violence and explicit content on OTT platforms, calling for stronger regulations while also urging viewers to exercise personal responsibility. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble , she reflected on how streaming services initially operated without clear guidelines, making potentially harmful content easily accessible to younger audiences. Stressing the impact such content can have, especially on children, Anjana admitted that she does not enjoy watching excessive violence and believes it influences viewers on a subconscious level. Anjana Sukhani On OTT Censorship And Showcasing Violence When asked about OTT showcasing violence without any censorship, Anjana Sukhani said, “I think now we are coming up with some rules and regulations even for OTT. But haan, jab shuru hua tha, there were no regulations in place. You know, you couldn’t use abusive language, unparliamentary language, or show violence, whatever. Woh sab valid tha uss time pe. And because agar hamare ghar mein koi bachcha ho, chhe, saat, aath ya dus saal ka, woh OTT on karke dekh sakta hai, because there is no regulation, right? So what are we catering to our next generation, especially the younger generation?” (sic) She added, “So I think it’s very important ki regulations hon. And I agree with you ki bahut zyada violence hai. And honestly, I don’t enjoy watching that. Actually, I don’t know how much violence you can really watch because, at the end of the day, on some level, you are absorbing that kind of violence, and that’s the energy you’re taking. So, to each their own. I mean, whoever wants to consume whatever, there is no ‘no’ to it.
