EXCLUSIVE: Anjana Sukhani Defends Actresses Opting For Cosmetic Treatments; Says, “It’s Their Body, They Have The Choice”
Anjana Sukhani has shared her candid views on cosmetic treatments, beauty standards, and the growing pressure on actresses to alter their appearance for roles. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, she emphasised that every individual has the right to make choices about their own body without being judged. While admitting that she personally has no plans to undergo such procedures, Anjana acknowledged that perspectives can change over time and refused to rule anything out completely. Scroll down to read what she said and watch the full interview. Anjana Sukhani On Actresses Facing Judgment For Undergoing Treatments For Roles When asked how she deals with scrutiny and judgment after how actresses nowadays are undergoing treatments to get roles, Anjana Sukhani said, “See, first of all, I don’t judge if somebody feels comfortable, if they feel that this treatment can make them look or feel better. Please go ahead and do it. But also understand the repercussions of it then. Because when women do such kinds of treatments, suddenly their face changes altogether to somebody else’s. Again, I think you just have to respect people’s opinions. It’s their body, so they should have the right to do it.” She added, “But I don’t know, actually. I don’t really have much of an opinion on it. I also feel, in life, never say never. Main aaj keh rahi hoon ki I would never, never want to do it. But what if I do? I don’t think so, but what if at some stage in life, you know, my mental state changes and mujhe lage, ‘Yaar, ek baar kara ke dekhna hai. Sundar lagna toh har ek insaan ka mann hota hai.’ And see, also understand that we are in a visual medium. So there is nothing wrong if somebody wants to see a well-groomed person. I’m not saying beautiful, pretty, or fair. I’m just saying well-groomed, and there is nothing wrong in that.” The actress concluded, “If you are out of shape and you’re expecting ki aap white saree pehen ke Chandni wala dance karoge, toh woh achha nahi lagega. Woh bahut awkward lagega, aur woh sabko awkward hi lagega. Aisa nahi hai ki sirf one person will feel that it’s not looking nice. So again, there is nothing wrong with that. But I also feel that every coin has two sides, right? So whichever side is comfortable for you, well, do that.” Watch The Full Interview For more news and updates from the entertainment world, stay tuned to Bollywood Bubble .
