Jlnphotography/WENN.com/MEGA Faizon Love ’s financial struggles have reportedly kept him from meeting his child support obligations. Love, who famously starred alongside Ice Cube in the cult classic “Friday, ” was accused by Tiffany Lee of falling behind on approximately $250,000 in child support payments owed to her. In his defense, Love’s attorney claimed the actor has been dealing with severe financial hardship and was briefly homeless. Court documents also stated that Love’s income has remained relatively low, ranging between $10,000 and $13,000 annually. Faizon Love’s Lawyer Says He Lived In His Car Judy Eddy/WENN/MEGA On Friday, Faizon Love appeared in court to respond to accusations that he defaulted on child support payments owed to Tiffany Lee, who has been identified in reports as his former partner. Lee had taken the actor to court over allegations that he owed $250,000 in unpaid child support. The amount reportedly accumulated over several years based on a court-ordered payment schedule of $2,500 per month. The back-and-forth in court eventually led Love’s lawyer, Glen Lansky, to reveal that the actor had been battling poverty. According to Lansky, Love’s financial situation became so dire that he experienced a period of homelessness before eventually being taken in by a friend. “He was homeless. He lived in his car,” Love’s attorney told the judge during the hearing. “That’s how the mighty have fallen.” Attorney Defends Love Amid Child Support Claims Jlnphotography/WENN.com/MEGA In defending Love, the actor’s attorney strongly criticized Lee and her legal team over how they have pursued the case against his client. According to the lawyer, they have been “painting him as a complete villain” for failing to make the required payments while allegedly overlooking the financial hardships and homelessness Love has endured. The legal expert also suggested that Love is not opposed to fulfilling his child support obligations if he can secure work and improve his financial situation. “I think he wants to act,”  Lansky said, per FOX 13 Tampa Bay . “He wants to write. He has contacts in the business, and hopefully he’s able to get more gigs.” Faizon Love Says Royalties Are His Main Income During the hearing, Lee and her attorney claimed that Love’s failure to make the child support payments was deliberate. Lee alleged that he once promised her she “wasn’t going to get a dime” and was willing to go so far as to stop his acting work to avoid the financial obligation. Love, however, sought to challenge those claims by presenting financial records that he said demonstrated his ongoing struggles. According to the actor, he relies largely on annual royalty payments from the film “Elf,” which reportedly amount to about $10,000 per year. He also stated that his highest annual gross income over the past five years was approximately $13,000 and claimed he earned no revenue in 2025.
