The Ultimate Edition packs a lot in (Rockstar Games) The lack of a physical disc for GTA 6 has sparked anger, as Rockstar stays silent on the whereabouts of GTA Online. Earlier today, Rockstar announced GTA 6 will be released with standard and ultimate editions priced at $79.99 and $99.99, respectively, when it launches on November 19, 2026. Althouhg there’s no official UK price yet. The ultimate edition comes with a large amount of in-game DLC, ranging from cosmetic items to unique stores. However, the biggest shock is the lack of a Blu-ray disc in both versions, with physical copies merely containing a download code in the box. While this might not be a big deal for some, for physical boffins who like to share games between friends (or resell them later), the lack of a physical disc has proven to be a real sticking point. ‘I am devasted,’ one user wrote on X. ‘GTA 6 physical copy won’t have a disc, but just a code to download the game.
