Hudson Stone Celebrates Release of Debut Single ‘Overthinker,’ Reveals Dad Curtis Stone’s Family Motto & Mom Lindsay Price’s Most Korean Trait

Hudson Stone is officially making his musical debut! The rising singer-songwriter has released his first single, “Overthinker,” giving fans their first taste of the sound and storytelling that will define his upcoming musical journey. To celebrate the release, Hudson sat down with Just Jared for a quick-fire Q&A, where he opened up about family, music, and the traits he’s inherited from his famous parents, chef Curtis Stone and actress Lindsay Price . When asked about the most Korean thing his mom does, Hudson didn’t hesitate with his answer. “Like my grandmother, she worries,” he shared with a laugh. Hudson also revealed the biggest lesson he’s learned from his dad, sharing the Stone family motto: “ Stones never give up.” “I definitely do feel that sense of determination and stubbornness about getting something done,” Hudson explained. The 14-year-old singer also credited his mom for helping shape his musical abilities, revealing that he inherited much of his musicality from her. Hudson’s debut single, “Overthinker,” was co-written alongside Brian Phillips and Toni Ferrari and explores the battle between the head and the heart. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Just Jared (@justjared) “I wrote ‘Overthinker’ because all my life, I’ve been told that I’m such a deep thinker, which is very true, but it tends to lead to overthinking, which can sometimes get in my way,” Hudson said. “When I fell in love, it was the first time I just didn’t think, and my heart took over. So, this song is a reminder to people that love is all about diving in with your whole heart.” Inspired by artists including Dominic Fike , John Mayer , The Strokes , and Leon Bridges , Hudson has developed a sound that blends guitar-driven indie rock with soulful storytelling and modern pop influences. Hudson recently signed with Hollywood Records and has a busy year ahead. In addition to releasing more music, he’ll star as Desi in the upcoming Camp Rock 3 and will hit the road this fall as part of the Worlds Collide Concert Tour.
