Jennifer Lopez Reveals Scary Health Crisis That Sent Her to the Hospital
Jennifer Lopez opened up on the SmartLess podcast about a frightening episode during the filming of her movie Enough . Lopez said she did not realize how long she had been running on empty. “I remember not clocking that I had worked like 98 days in a row without taking a day off,” she said. While working on the thriller, Lopez began feeling strange each time she headed to set. “Every time I walk to the set, I start getting a little pitter-patter in my heart; it’s like rising,” she said. She tried to explain it to the young actress on set with her, telling her, “I’m sorry, sweetie, I feel a little weird today.” Lopez added, “I’m a little tired or something.” But the moment got worse inside her trailer. “I sat down, and all of a sudden, like, I just couldn’t see,” Lopez recalled. “I couldn’t move.” She told her assistant and childhood friend, “Arlene, I can’t move. I can’t see.” Lopez was taken to the hospital, where she asked the doctor, “Am I going crazy?” “No. You’re not crazy,” he told her. Lopez said the doctor explained that her body had essentially “shut down” from exhaustion.
