John Torode's wife Lisa Faulkner reveals breast cancer diagnosis

John Torode's wife, Lisa Faulkner, has revealed she's battling breast cancer. The 54-year-old shared her diagnosis on Thursday, after having gone 'quiet' on social media for a little while. Lisa has already undergone surgery, and is now facing a course of radiotherapy. Today's top videos In a video , Lisa explained: 'I know I’ve been very quiet on here, the reason being I have had to have surgery for the early stages of breast cancer.' Benett/Dave Benett/Getty Images 'I had surgery two weeks ago; it was quite a big op, but it’s all good, and I’ve my results back, and they’ve got everything out,' Lisa said. 'So it’s all clear, and I just need now to have some radiotherapy in a few weeks. 'I just wanted to say I’ve got a bit of healing to do, but I’m good. I’m well and feeling so much better, and I’m so grateful I went for my mammogram.' Pic: Lisa Faulkner/Instagram 'I just wanted to say don’t put them off, go, because they found this and without that mammogram it wouldn’t have been picked up,' Lisa urged her followers. 'Thank you to our wonderful NHS and the fact we can have these mammograms and we can get treatment early.' So glad all is well and sending you all the healing love,' one Instagram user penned, as another wrote: 'Thank you for sharing and encouraging others to go for their mammograms. Hope all goes well with the rest of treatment and healing.' John has yet to comment on his wife's health news. Lisa and John have been married since 2019, but first crossed paths in 2010, when she starred on MasterChef. Both were married to other people at the time. The pair denied that anything romantic happened between them before they split up with their respective partners the following year, in 2011.
