Nara Smith Reveals Her 2-Year-Old Daughter's Heartbreaking Cancer Diagnosis
Influencer Nara Smith opened up to her follower’s about her 2-year-old daughter’s heartbreaking cancer diagnosis. In a July 1 video, Smith revealed that her daughter Whimsy Lou has been diagnosed with cancer. “There’s no easy way to say this, or talk about this,” Nara began, before revealing that her daughter’s diagnosis happened “late last year.” Nara shares Whimsy with her husband, model Lucky Blue Smith. They also share daughter Rumble Honey, 5, son Slim Easy, 4, and daughter Fawnie Golden, who was born in September 2025. Lucky is also a father to his daughter, Gravity, whom he shares with model Stormi Bree. Related story Ballerina Farm Has Something To Say About Yesteryear: 'I Know What's Going On' View this post on Instagram “When we saw something suspicious on her, we took her to the ER and they didn’t quite know what to make of it,” Nara said in the video. “When we took her into our pediatrician, I just remember him going really quiet and calm.” From his demeanor alone, Nara knew what was coming. “My heart dropped in that moment,” she said. “I don’t know if it was my gut telling me something or just a mom’s intuition, but the first thing that I felt was she has cancer.” RELATED: Influencer Nara Smith Slams Mom-Shamers & Sets the Record Straight on One Big Misconception About Her Life Following the pediatrician’s order, the couple took their daughter to the closest children’s hospital for further testing. “After a lot of X-rays, ultrasounds and finally a biopsy, they immediately called us and said that she had cancer, told us it had spread and that she needs to come and start chemo treatments immediately,” she revealed. Nara then opened up about her own feelings in the process, and how relying on online forums and social media has eased them. “All of that combined really brought me a lot of comfort and alleviated the feeling of loneliness for me,” she admitted. “Processing this and navigating all of this as a family has been really hard.” In the process, she’s also taken a step back from posting. “A lot of you have probably realized that I’ve been posting a little less and this is the reason why,” she said. “Having found all of this out and navigating this while postpartum, also loving and caring for our other kids at home, also being in the hospital with Whimsy a lot and balancing work on top of that has been really challenging.” “Some days are a little easier, some days are really hard, and all I can do is try my best and show up in all those areas in the best way that I can,” she reflected.
