Olivia Rodrigo Reveals All Daisy Chain Fields Performers Are Playing for Free
Getty Images Olivia Rodrigo is sharing more details about her newly announced Daisy Chain Fields music festival. The singer appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday (June 23), where she revealed that every artist on the festival’s all-women lineup is performing for free. Olivia first announced the festival on Monday, unveiling a stacked lineup of musical guests that includes herself, Chappell Roan , Bikini Kill , Sarah MacLachlan , Stevie Nicks , and several other performers. The festival will donate 100 percent of net proceeds to charity. Olivia praised the artists who agreed to participate, calling their involvement “a real testament to their hearts as well as their talent.” The festival has drawn comparisons to Lilith Fair , the influential ’90s touring festival co-founded by Sarah McLachlan . Olivia said those shows were “a huge inspiration in me starting this festival.” “And actually the first person that I called when I decided that I wanted to do this festival was Sarah McLachlan ,” the “Good 4 U” said. “She’s a total trailblazer, and an incredible artist and a friend.” “I think there’s this rhetoric that girls are supposed to be competing against each other for the top spot, or that there’s only this many resources for everyone,” Olivia added. “I think it’s an experience like Lilith Fair and hopefully Daisy Chain that will show us that we’re all way stronger when we come together and support one another.” Olivia ‘s new album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love , is already at the top of the charts !
