Yet, the comedian is optimistic that he will be alright and back to being “a cool dude.” Kasher, The Pitt star, revealed his changed life in an Instagram post, informing that this turbulent journey started three months ago, when he was busy with “The Comeback King,” a Judd Apatow-Glen Powell movie set to release next year. He found a bump on his tonsil. It was cancer. The Pitt’s Moshe Kasher reveals HPV-positive tonsil cancer diagnosis after surgery View this post on Instagram “Two days ago, a Jewish surgery robot at Cedars Sinai yanked my jaw open for 5 hours and cut it out and then slit my throat and dissected my neck, leaving me with a hardcore neck scar which will make people reluctant to street fight me,” the 46-year-old wrote, as reported by US Magazine . Kasher said that he got it not from his wife, comedian Natasha Leggero, but from a sexual encounter in the 1990s. Kasher called this “the most terrifying and consciousness-consuming experience” of his life, full of terror, meditation, tears, and medical planning. He finds it difficult to believe that he managed to work on an entire movie while dealing with this. Kasher is still unsure whether he will also require radiation treatment. The comedian said he will find out next week. “I’m in pain, and I’m in the middle of a very difficult process. It’s gonna be a long summer, but the good news is the cancer I have has an incredibly high cure rate (in the 95 percent zone),” he wrote. He also shared a piece of bad news: HPV positive tonsil cancer is an epidemic in men under 55.” He urged his followers to “get checked and vaccinate your damn kids.” While most HPV infections are harmless and clear up on their own, long-lasting infections can damage cells and eventually lead to several types of cancer.
