'We are feeling every emotion' Celeb-loved Irish restaurant announces closure

It's with a 'heavy heart' that the co-owners of Spaghetti Arms in Belfast have announced its closure. The restaurant began as a hatch on Belfast's Union Street before co-owners Michelle and Leigh-Anne opened a sit-in restaurant in 2021. 'This has been one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make. What started as a dream became so much more than a business. It became a second home, a gathering place, and a space filled with countless memories that we will carry with us forever. 'Over the years, we have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, first dates, family reunions, and everyday moments that became special simply because they were shared around our tables,' Michelle and Leigh-Anne continued. 'To our incredible staff, there are truly no words that can fully express our gratitude. Thank you for believing in this dream, for your hard work, your loyalty, and the heart you poured into every shift. 'Through busy nights, difficult days, and unforgettable successes, you stood by us and treated this restaurant as if it were your own. We are endlessly proud of what we accomplished together and deeply grateful for every one of you.' 'Thank you for every reservation, every recommendation, every kind word, every celebration, and every moment you chose to spend with us. 'Your support carried us through the years and helped turn strangers into friends and customers into family. 'As we prepare to close this chapter, we are feeling every emotion imaginable—sadness, gratitude, pride, and love. While the doors may close, the memories, friendships, and community we built together will remain with us forever.' Dozens of restaurant-goers flocked to the comments section to mourn the loss of Spaghetti Arms' sit-in restaurant. One Instagram user wrote: 'Such a sad loss for our community in Belfast and beyond. Good luck moving forward,' as another penned: 'Such sad news. Always the best staff, food, and place!
