Beyoncé just revealed the reason her hubby JAY-Z grew out his hair — and it’s SO precious! At the end of last month, the rapper made a huge change when he showed up to the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia rocking a natural afro! For years he had long locs, so this change came as a huge surprise to a lot of his fans, but now Bey is telling the full story. In a new video while promoting her Cécred hardcore line, the pop star said the reason for his afro was his late dad, Adnis Reeves : “Everyone wants to know the details of Jay’s hair transformation … He told me a few months ago he was planning on combing out his locs for the Philly show. Bey continued, revealing he grew out his hair for their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter : “I thought it was always beautiful that the real reason Jay grew out his hair was to show Blue that her hair was like his hair. Our daughter was about 5 and she wasn’t feeling very confident about her hair at that time. When she told her father that, it inspired Jay to grow out his hair.” Aww… What a precious thing for a dad to do for their daughter!! The Single Ladies singer went on, explaining that Jay’s decision to do that for Blue meant everything to her: “We really wanted her to love and embrace every inch of her gorgeous curls.
